As a National Communications Graduate in the ALDI National Communications team, you will have the opportunity to support the strategy and execution of the Communications plan, delivering projects and initiatives that are designed to enhance reputation amongst media, political, industry and other audiences. This role will be 12-month fixed term contract.
You will be working as a member of the national communications team, in an extremely dynamic and lively environment. You will get to experience working in a large corporate retail environment that touches every aspect of the product lifecycle, from Buying, Sustainability and Quality Assurance to PR and Marketing. This role will focus specifically on corporate communications.
Key Responsibilities
- In line with ALDI’s overarching Communications strategy, support the development and implementation of appropriate Corporate PR strategies and programmes to include media and stakeholder relations
- Contribute to the day-to-day management of the company’s engagement with the media by preparing timely and accurate responses to queries received through the external PR agency
- Accountable for working closely with the relevant teams in head office and external PR agencies to develop and manage communications programmes
- Supporting the team and managing communications for all incidents, issues and potential crises
- Supporting the team and managing communications for all key events and commercial priorities
- Work closely with Sustainability, Marketing, Social Media, Customer Services, Store Operations and Property teams to ensure alignment of strategy and messages
- Monitor media coverage and Government policy, informing the wider business of relevant topics and advising on any action to be taken
- Track, analyse and report monthly on communications results
Benefits
As a Communications Graduate you will earn €39,775 per annum (pro rata)

Essential Requirements
- Prior experience preferable working across internal communications in a team environment
- Must be commercially aware, structured, efficient and deadline driven. Self-sufficient (prioritisation essential)
- Proactive, creative thinker with aptitude for fresh and innovating ideas
- Diplomatic and trustworthy with a flexible approach to work
- Proficient IT skills
- Degree in Public Relations, Communications & Business (achieved 1.1 or 2.1 degree)
- Full drivers’ licence
