An exciting opportunity has arisen within ALDI’s Health and Safety Team as a Health and Safety Manager on a fixed term basis (15 months). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of Health and Safety Specialists and overseeing the implementation of the health and safety strategy across ALDI’s two Irish regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Manager, act as a 'competent person', ensuring compliance with health & safety, fire safety, food safety, and trading law.
- Lead a team of Health and Safety Specialists working across two regions.
- Provide strategic leadership on the implementation of the company’s health and safety requirements across all areas of the operation.
- Leads H&S working groups and projects as required to develop best practice and business consistency.
- Coordinates the company’s response to any enforcement interventions within the regions.
- Investigates significant and accidents and incidents and ensures accurate and timely reporting to the HSA.
- Coordinates ongoing reviews of all National documentation to ensure IE requirements are considered.

Essential Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in managing and coaching a team of health and safety professionals.
- Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.
- NEBOSH Diploma qualified or holds a similar relevant degree level qualification in H&S or Environmental Health.
- Chartered Member of IOSH or CIEH.
- You have a full and valid driving licence.
